  • We have a casual and welcoming atmosphere. There is no dress code and formal wear is not required. Some people choose to dress up, but casual attire is perfectly acceptable.

  • Late arrivals are permitted into the hall between movements or between pieces. If you arrive late, you may listen from the entrance lobby until ushers begin late seating.

  • The custom is to wait until the end of a piece of music until you clap, rather than in between movements. Follow the Program Book, which shows the movements for each piece. There is usually a 15-to-30-second pause between movements, which is where confusion about clapping usually occurs. If you are not quite sure if a piece is entirely over, simply follow the rest of the audience’s lead!

  • Pictures and recordings of any kind are not permitted in the theater during the concerts.

Support Our Cause

Community support (individual donations, sponsorships, and grants) funds a majority of our budget, 65% in 2024. This support makes it possible for KCMF to price tickets affordably, to provide free admission to students, to offer scholarships, and to support music education locally. Without your support, this work would not be possible.
