The Kingston Chamber Music Festival is delighted to welcome musician and multi-instrumentalist Elizabeth Beisel to its 38th Season as part of Concert 4: Between Worlds on July 31, 2026. A Rhode Island native, Beisel brings a unique artistic perspective shaped by a lifelong connection to music, collaboration, and creative exploration.
Although many know Beisel for her accomplishments outside the music world, music has been one of her earliest and most enduring passions. Classically trained on violin and piano and also an accomplished mandolin player, she continued to make music throughout her athletic career as a source of creativity, balance, and personal expression. Today, she is fully dedicated to pursuing her musical work as a performer, composer, collaborator, and storyteller.
Beisel’s artistic interests span classical, folk, bluegrass, and contemporary genres, and she is passionate about collaborating with musicians from diverse backgrounds and traditions. Her work reflects a belief that music can create meaningful connections between people while offering space for curiosity, creativity, and personal growth.
This summer, audiences will have the opportunity to hear Beisel perform alongside violinist Zachary DePue in Concert 4: Between Worlds. The program explores the rich intersections of classical, folk, bluegrass, jazz, and contemporary American music, blending hoedowns, waltzes, and genre-crossing collaborations in a celebration of American musical traditions.
Ahead of her Festival debut, Beisel is also featured on Episode 5 of Season 2 of Kingston Notes, KCMF’s podcast hosted by Anna Gray. In the conversation, she reflects on identity, creativity, and the freedom that comes from embracing multiple passions.
