The Kingston Chamber Music Festival is pleased to welcome violist Burchard Tang to the Festival’s 38th Season. A member of The Philadelphia Orchestra since 1999, Tang will be featured in Concerts 4, 5, and 6, bringing his accomplished artistry and extensive chamber music experience to audiences in Kingston this summer.A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music, Tang studied with former Philadelphia Orchestra principal violist Joseph dePasquale. Throughout his career, he has earned recognition as both a soloist and chamber musician, receiving honors from the Albert M. Greenfield Student Competition and the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition.An active chamber musician, Tang has appeared at renowned festivals including Marlboro, Ravinia, Caramoor, Music from Angel Fire, and the Seattle Chamber Music Festival.
