Faares Deeb is a cellist from Newport, Rhode Island, whose musicianship was shaped by intensive study in Cello Performance and Chemical Engineering at the University of Rhode Island under Theodore Mook. A 2019 Kingston Chamber Music Festival Scholarship Award recipient, he has been an active performer in the region—participating in masterclasses with prominent cellists and performing with ensembles including the Rhode Island Philharmonic Youth Symphony and the Rhode Island All-State Orchestra. Since completing his studies, Faares continues to cultivate his artistic voice by collaborating with chamber ensembles, engaging in community music projects, and pursuing interdisciplinary interests that blend analytical thinking with expressive performance.
