Katherine Loo is a composer and violist from Westerly, Rhode Island, whose musical journey includes studies in music composition and orchestral performance at the University of Rhode Island. A 2017 Kingston Chamber Music Festival Scholarship Award honoree, she has performed with the URI Symphony–Orchestra and the South County Chamber Orchestra, and her work as a composer has been featured in new music collaborations, including State of Mind for bass trombone and electronics. Katherine continues to pursue creative projects that blend performance and composition, contributing to community music initiatives and exploring interdisciplinary artistic collaborations that reflect her passion for innovation and expression.
