Aavi, age 14, is an eighth grader at Great Valley Middle School in Malvern, Pennsylvania and takes piano lessons from Mr. James Anemone. He is a pianist in the Chester County Youth Orchestra and a member of the Back to Bach Project for the Chester County region. He has been featured as a young virtuoso on Steinert & Sons Steinway Stories series and as a guest artist at music salons hosted by Philadelphia-based conductor Karl Middleman and composer Andrea Clearfield. He has performed at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, the Academy of Music Ballroom in Philadelphia, Field Concert Hall at Curtis Institute of Music, Sala dei Notari in Perugia, Italy, GC de Lijsterbes in Brussels, Van Cliburn Concert Hall in Fort Worth and Mixon Hall at Cleveland Institute of Music. As a winner of the 2025 London International Chopin Competition, Aavi has performed at the Polish Hearth Club (Ognisko Polskie) in
London.
He has attended highly selective and prestigious music festivals such as Piano Texas International Festival and Academy, Oberlin Summer Piano Festival, the Cleveland Institute of Music Young Artist Piano Seminar, Chicago International Music Festival and the Southeastern Piano Festival. He has played in masterclasses by distinguished pianists such as John Perry, Norma Fisher, Steven Spooner, Sasha Starcevich, Angela Cheng, Alvin Chow, Arthur Greene and Sara Davis Buechner. Aavi made his orchestral debut as a soloist in Perugia, Italy with the Europa Musica Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Marius Stravinsky in 2023, and since then has performed as a soloist with the Ambler Symphony Orchestra and the Old York Road Symphony Orchestra, both under Maestro Jack Moore
Aside from piano, Aavi has been training in martial arts since he was 5 yrs old. He is a 2nd Dan (2nd degree Black Belt) in Taekwondo and is on track to be promoted to 3 rd Dan in the summer of 2027. He has represented his school twice in the Chester County Chapter of the MathCounts Competition.
